The ever popular Readers' Day which celebrates fiction will be happening on 16 October and features among others, Barbara Nadel, Michelle Paver, Barbara Erskine, John Harding, Dorothy Koomson, Clare Morrall and Chris Fowler. It offers a great opportunity to meet the authors and discover ideas for reading and writing - early booking is definitely advised!

To add to the mix, the Festival also embraces a whole host of other subjects including crime, history, cookery and biography. There will also be a Festival Quiz and, for the first time ever, a Book Swap. As in previous years, workshops on a range of topics will feature in the programme including ones on writers' block and crime writing.

There are many more events to look forward to, so visit the website for the latest information and to join the mailing list. Festival brochures will be available to view online from early September, as well to pick up from The Electric Theatre, Guildford Tourist Information Centre, libraries and many other places.

Festival Box Offices are now open.

Box Office numbers are 01483 444789 or 01483 444334.
